Privacy policy
Your videos never leave your device. EZ Video Compressor is built so that we can't see them, even if we wanted to.
Last updated 18 October 2026
What happens to your video
When you add a video, it is opened and compressed by code running in your browser. The video is not uploaded, copied to a server or stored by us. The compressed file is created in your browser's memory, and it is gone when you close or reload the page. Very large results can instead be saved straight to a folder on your own computer that you choose.
What we collect
There are no accounts and no sign-up. The site has no database, and we don't ask for your name, email address or payment details. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and the page loads nothing from other companies' servers.
What's stored in your browser
If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your device so the site looks the same next time. Nothing else is stored, and the choice is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
What our host can see
Like any website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which receives standard request details such as your IP address and browser type when you load a page. That information concerns the page visit only. It never includes your video, because your video is never sent anywhere.
If you email us
When you write to contact@ezvideocompressor.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use them only to reply to you, and we never sell or share them. Ask us at any time to delete your messages.
Children
The site doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. If a child has emailed us and you'd like that message deleted, contact us and we'll remove it.
How to check for yourself
Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab and compress a video. You'll see the page and the compressor load once, and no upload of your file.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the site handles data, we'll update this page before the change goes live and change the date at the top.
