Terms and conditions

Agreeing to these terms

EZ Video Compressor ("the site", "we", "us") is a free tool for making video files smaller. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Your videos

Your videos are compressed on your own device and are never uploaded to us, so we never see, store or claim any rights to them. You keep every right you have in your videos and in the compressed copies.

You are responsible for the videos you compress. Only use videos you own or have permission to use, and don't use the site to break the law or to infringe anyone else's rights.

Using the site fairly

Please don't:

• try to disrupt, overload or break the site or the servers that deliver it;
• copy the site and present it as your own, or remove notices from it;
• use automated means to access the site in a way that burdens it.

Results and your originals

Compressing a video lowers its quality, and results depend on your device, your browser and the video itself. A size target is aimed for but not guaranteed. The site never changes your original file, but keep it until you've checked the compressed copy.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Some browsers and devices can't use it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, files, profits or business, arising from your use of the site or your inability to use it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, pause or stop the site at any time. We may also update these terms; when we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Using the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

Privacy

How the site handles data is explained in our privacy policy.
